Shipping policy

Ground, air, or the farm freezer.

We ship to the lower 48 states by UPS, on Mondays and Wednesdays. Never into a weekend. Order by 6 AM Central on a Monday or Wednesday and your box goes out that day. Orders placed after that go out on the next ship day.

UPS Ground: most of the Midwest and nearby states, one to two days in transit. $15 per order. Free on orders of $165 or more. Shipped orders have an $85 minimum so the box has enough frozen mass to stay cold on the road.

UPS 2-Day Air: for addresses ground can't reach in two days. Priced by weight at checkout, starting at $55 for a box up to 10 pounds. Orders over $300 ship by air for $45. 2-Day Air orders have a $199 minimum. Some states see both options at checkout. Pick whichever you like.

Farm pickup: no minimum, no shipping charge. Choose pickup at checkout. We pack your order within two to four days and send you a note when it's ready. Then come by any day during daylight hours. Pull up to the shed at W2252 Riemer Rd, Brodhead, WI 53520. Your order is in the self-serve freezer, labeled with your name.

Inside the box: every cut vacuum-sealed and labeled, frozen solid, packed with gel packs in an insulated liner. It should arrive frozen or firm and cold to the touch. A little softening at the edges is normal. Get it into the freezer right away, or the fridge if you're cooking it first. If anything arrives warm, contact us the same day.

Bulk beef (quarters and halves) ships by ground only and may arrive in more than one box.

Subscriptions ship the same way: UPS Ground, or 2-Day Air in 2-Day Air states (orders of $199 or more, flat $45 over $300).
