Shipping and returns
How your box gets to you, and what happens if it doesn't.
Plain English, no legal document. A real person wrote this and a real person answers the phone.
Three ways to get it
Ground, air, or the farm freezer.

UPS ground
Most of the Midwest, one to two days. Free on orders over $165. $85 minimum on any shipped order so the box stays cold.

Two-day air
For addresses ground can't reach in two days. Priced by weight at checkout, and never more than $45 in shipping on orders over $300. Quarter and half beef ship by ground only.

Farm pickup
No minimum, no shipping charge. Self-serve freezer at W2252 Riemer Rd, Brodhead. Any day, daylight hours, once we've told you it's packed.

When it ships
Mondays and Wednesdays. Never into a weekend.
Order by Saturday and your box leaves Monday. Order by Monday and it leaves Wednesday. Pickup orders are ready within two days.
Inside the box: every cut vacuum-sealed and labeled, frozen solid, packed with gel packs in an insulated liner. It should arrive frozen or firm and cold to the touch. A little softening at the edges is normal. Get it into the freezer right away, or the fridge if you're cooking it first.
The fine print, in plain words
- We can't refund a box sent to a wrong address you entered, or a delivery that was refused. UPS charges us $16 to redirect a wrong address, so we pass that along.
- Boxes left outside for more than a day after delivery are on you. Bring it in the day it lands.
- Eggs are pickup only. We don't ship them.
- Live close by? We'd love your undamaged box and liner back the next time you pick up.
